The Story in Our Logo
Our logo is modeled after Mt. Hood and the Columbia River but there’s more to it than an image that represents our unique geography. Our logo tells the story of our journey with Jesus.
Our journey with Jesus begins at the cross. Through His death and resurrection we are born into His kingdom. The cross in our logo is also a person representing our identity with Christ.
The rays of light that shine from the person’s head is the light of Christ that shines through our life in worship, outreach, community, discipleship, and service.
As we climb higher, we go farther: The cross is located in the valley where we humbly come to Jesus to begin our journey together. As we walk with Him we climb higher reaching new heights and seeing new horizons.
The river that flows out from the foot of the cross represents God's mercy and grace flowing out to all people. This river of God's mercy and grace continues to flow as we go farther to serve and touch others in Jesus' name.
Since this walk is difficult and the way narrow only a few will take the challenge, but for those who do it's the journey of a lifetime with Jesus that leads to eternal life.
